1984
Kilburn Store Opens
Micky Droy our founder and chairman opens the Kilburn store after retiring from a 20+ year career with Chelsea FC
The store is named Westminster Electrical and serves the local community and parts of London with many different types of electrical products.
2011
Westminster Wholesale Opens
After a successful period, the management team recognises an opportunity to become a distributor to the electrical wholesale trade. The first year tunrover exceedd £1million
2016
Team Expands
Richard joins the team bringing with him his extensive knowledge and expertise of the UK electrical wholesale market and export.
Tom Droy joins as well, which means we now have 3 generations of the family working within the business.
2021
Export expands
This year the export division expands further and has its first multi-million year. Establishing itself as a major partner to the Mediterranean and Turkey
2024
Westminster Retail
Expanding on the success of the wholesale and export side - the team launches retail to expand their distribution outside of the two existing areas.
The concept is brands and our own brand to service retailers across the country. With the challenge of the internet, a broader range of foreign with smaller delivery sizes means retailers can stock the depth and breadth required to attract trade while still being competitive from WE tremendous buying strengths and expertise.
